Chicago COVID-19 Vaccination Effort featuring Sidekick! through Imaginal Studios

Driven by the Heart

Through Imaginal Studios, a local Chicago Film Production Studio, I was given the chance to create an animated social story, as well as graphic material, to promote a ground breaking process in the world of vaccination. Compassionate Care Clinics focused on vaccinating the special needs community in this time of global crisis knowing they are under-served and more susceptible to COVID-19. From my experience working with special needs children, I knew I had to pour much more than my design knowledge into this project.

Serving the Under-served

Shown below is the brochure I worked on in partnership with special needs instructor and Imaginal Studios Founder Ryan Hayes as well as Occupational Therapist Janice Haywood Turner. We focused on creating a guide to our services and products that gave just the right amount of knowledge in a compact format.

Too Important to Deny

In no time, Compassionate Care Clinics was developing partnerships with IDPH, IDHS, and other various special needs organizations. It was crucial to get the word out about the clinics we established throughout the Greater Chicagoland. Below are flyers and banners I created to promote our clinics.

A Job well Done

Compassionate Care Clinics vaccinated 1000+ special needs children and their families throughout the winter of 2021; inspiring state officials and local organizations to rethink their approach to aiding this wonderful community.
